Love this Hannah. What a beautiful celebration of being on Substack. So much of this resonates, particularly getting more comfortable with hearing your own voice, love of writing, connection and community 💛💛
Thank you so much Hannah. It has been so lovely to meet wonderful friends like you through Substack. It has been fantastic to watch you grow over the last year. We will make it to the Tate 😘😘😘
So wonderful to hear all of your insights from 10 months on Substack! Meeting you in person in London was a highlight of my trip! Your advice to "just start" is so important.... I am reminding myself of that every day, with the big and small projects. Also, just love that you have grown to like your voice :) Keep going and sharing!
Aah Hannah I love this, and I was just thinking of you this morning as I’m hoping to publish our lovely chat next week!! How you’ve expressed it all is spot on, and I’m so glad to have met you here. Would love to meet up again soon x
You know I'm so here with you on most of this, Hannah! I'm actually in the volcano stage atm and I'm a bit overwhelmed! But what a great issue to have.
Thank you for the tag too! I'm so glad to hear that you felt a deeper connection to the words. That is awesome. I started using a proper mic at first and now I just do them on my phone so it's super easy. And I don't get round to the audios every time.
I'm so glad you found Substack, Hannah. You can just feel your enthusiasm coming through each week and it's been amazing to see you grow here from the very beginning.
I love this Hannah! 🤍 for the connections, the personal growth, the creativity... this platform is wonderful. I’m so glad we connected more deeply here!
Really enjoyed reading this, as am just getting going having mooched about Substack for a while. Then saw you mentioned lovely Emma Simpson who I met in actual real life at one of Katherine May's creative days and then bumped into her here as well. Your post is good encouragement to stop farting about and dive in.
So glad you enjoyed this Catriona! I met Emma through writing here and we live fairly close to each other so met in real life. Those kinds of connections have been an unexpected benefit and joy of writing on Substack. I can’t recommend getting going enough. Good luck! 😊✨
I love this Hannah! It’s great to hear how it’s helped you & al the cool things you’ve been doing. After a very trepidatious start I feel like I’ve finally found my stride, this is a great inspiration thank you ☺️
Aww this is a beautiful post Hannah. And a refreshing change from all the other ‘how to grow your Substack’ posts that are doing the rounds at the moment. It’s reminded me why I joined in the first place - to help find my voice and let out my own ‘ideas volcano’ brain. 😊 Thank you for sharing ❤️
Thanks so much for reading, Lara! I’m with you on having no interest at all in the ‘how to grow your Substack’ pieces! It’s all about the community and the meaningful connections for me. ✨

You have built a wonderful community too, as I have connected with you (thank you for the shout out) but also other people too through you.
Thank you so much 😊

That’s so exciting that you’re brimming with ideas, but I know how overwhelming that can sometimes feel. One day and one idea at a time…
You truly have inspired me in lots of ways, so thank you! 🙏🏻

Hi Hannah! I'm in my late 30s and don't have children either. I'm also a Francophile! 🥐 Looking forward to following you here!
Hi Alison! Great to connect here 😊
Fantastic! Great to hear how you have approached this new phase of your life - felt the fear and did it anyway!!
Thanks so much Carolyn! 😊
