I started listening to your conversation as I was pottering about in my apartment, and then I found myself stopping in my tracks, and rewinding sections, as there was so much that a) I enjoyed about it, and b) that I could relate to in one way or another.

Brina - really interesting to hear your pathway has changed over time. Like Hannah, I was a teacher for a long time and followed in many ways a set trajectory with many prescribed aspects (e.g., salary, expectations etc...). Since I left the profession, I have had to unlearn a number of things, and it's only really in the past few months that I have realised that careers can go all over the place! But also that you need to be open to new experiences too.

Thanks again for a great conversation.

Unlearning is so important isn't it? A very difficult concept for us institutionalised teachers!

Thanks so much for listening, Sarah. I'm so pleased that you were able to relate and enjoyed the episode 😊

Just listened to this on my weekly commute to the office. This was really good! So much of this resonated. Love what you said about (hopefully) reaching old age and wondering “what if”. My brain is percolating!
