Another great listen. Thank you Hannah and Kristi! The point made about appearance and personal identity resonated -- for me, it wasn’t appearance but professional identity. But the realization was the same: external opinion or measures aren’t a sturdy foundation for self-worth.
Just listened to this episode over my morning tea - great conversation between you both.
Fascinating to hear how often it’s the closest to us, family and friends that can provide the most valuable advice when we most need it. Kristi, when you mentioned that your husband suggested taking some time out after you left a job, it could have also been my husband talking!
My ears also pricked early in the episode when you mentioned one of your professors has worked for the WSJ in Hong Kong as I live in HK 😊
And Hannah, thanks for putting the podcast together - I imagine it takes a lot of work! Thank you 🙏
Really interesting listen. The red thread again! I’ve just subscribed to Kristi’s Substack. I, too, suffer from disordered eating, and, as a Gen X-er, the whole feeling of value being placed upon how you look really resonated for me.
Thank you so much for subscribing, and you're right—it is the red thread again! I am working to integrate all of these different elements of myself. For much of this year, I think I was fighting that a little bit, but now I see that all of these parts make up the whole. What about you?

It’s so interesting how our lives overlap and intersect. Thank you for listening!
Thanks so much for listening, Sarah! 🫖 tea sounds like the perfect accompaniment

This year has been a challenge for me, work-wise. Something I’m still working on
