I absolutely loved hearing your list! Your voice is so lovely and soothing. We have so much in common, and I like that the list is both informative and intimate. Well done. 💜✨
I love this exercise! I carefully copied your list to my workspace so that I could keep it for reference to make my own. I decided to star the items on your list that were VERY important to me and to my surprise, there were 29! Then I knew we were kindred spirits, so I subscribed to read more from you. Bravo!
I started a list of my favourite things from your list, because I identified with so much of it. These numbers were my most favourites: 9, 18, 35, 41, 55, 71, 80 and 100. And I think the most important one of those would be 41: I absolutely definitely need to spend time on my own and I'm quite good at it. In fact, I'm jetting off to Crete next week to be on my own and edit my book. Thank you. I suspect I might see my own big long list coming soon... :-D
I agree with almost all of these. I don’t have a sister but my sisters in law are great. ☺️ I’ve definitely come to embrace many of them in the last year too. ☺️
This is great! 👏💛 You've inspired me to try and do the same 👍 I would definitely be interested in the podcast/voiceover workshop... I want to start doing voiceovers, but I'm so scared 🫣😆 Also, making friends online is definitely not weird! 😉
Thanks so much for reading/listening Eva and I'm very pleased you enjoyed it! Noted about the workshop on voiceovers and I completely understand your fears. I had them too. I'm aiming to run it towards the end of September and will post about it soon.
I can't believe how many friends I've made since I started writing here. It's brilliant! 🤩
Thanks Emily. Never too old - it's a wonderful world of possibilities out there! I did my first pottery course session on Wednesday. It was absolutely brilliant. I can't wait to go back next week! xx
I see the cake ambition as a lifelong quest! Yes, I think it’s a challenge to make 100% of your income from creating and can affect creativity levels. It’s a fine balance!
I wrote a lot of it in our last Create Ensemble session but then had to keep coming back to it to get up to 100. It felt like a good challenge! So glad you enjoyed it 😊 x
What a rich and wonderful list - I'm going to be revisiting for a while as I check out the links. (With regards to number 34, have you read Untamed by Glennon Doyle? As a fellow pleaser I recommend!)
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Iona! I have read Untamed and I was hooked! Such an inspiring story. Enjoy the links and thanks again for reading/listening ☺️

Thanks so much for listening to the voiceover Shaunté. It's always good to know when someone listens. Lovely to know that it resonated with you too ☺️

I love this so much, Elizabeth!
Thanks for subscribing and I look forward to chatting and getting to know you a little more 🧡
I LOVE this list but point 46 made me laugh out loud! You'll love 40, it's a wonderful age in every possible way!
It really was the most ridiculous situation, but I was proud of myself that I didn’t just pay it.
I am genuinely excited for my 40s!
You are! Good 100 things to write and celebrate about.

Thanks so much for sharing this Helen and I love that you might have your own list coming 🙌🏻
Your trip to Crete sounds wonderful. Enjoy every moment and good luck with the book editing!

Sister in laws definitely count too! 🧡

Brilliant list Hannah!! You are never too old to try something new! 💛✨ so many of these ring true for me too xx

Thank you so much Hannah, you're an inspiration. Loved the part about the French cakes! And that you bring up the money and job issue.
I am convinced one should not expect making a living from their writing, it may kill all creativity.

This is such a wonderful list Hannah, I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks for sharing…I know it’ll inspire so many of us writers!X💛
Thank you Angharad, it means a lot to hear this! I'm so pleased you enjoyed reading 😊 x

I bet you keep thinking of more too! I get that - thinking of how you could have added more to the post after you’ve published it. X
So lovely to read your list Hannah! Nodding along as well as giving me ideas. I loved my forties! Best time of my life 😊
Thanks so much Carina - I love hearing this kind of reflection and I hope it might be a good decade for me too! x
