This is somewhat of a continuation of last Sunday’s piece but with a more personal insight into what has been going on in January both in my business and in my head. As any small business owner will know, it’s very hard to leave your work at work when work is your home.

I was lucky enough to record an interview for my podcast last week with the incredibly inspiring Gabrielle Treanor. It will be published soon, when I’ve managed to find the required time to finish the edit!

Anyway, I mention this because in the interview Gabrielle talks about how running a business can start to take over your life. She knows because she’s done it several times.

As Gabrielle was talking, I was frantically nodding along with so much that she was saying because I am there right now.

I’m writing this post at 9:30am on Friday. In half an hour I need to head out to a client consultation. I hadn’t planned to write now, but I find that I have a nervous energy before going to meet a client for the first time and whilst I could have faffed around for 30 minutes, I decided that the nervous energy might be better channelled into writing. Let’s see.
