Here goes for the next instalment of the story of my career change. Thank you for the kind and engaging comments on part 1. It is so interesting to hear that others have made a big career pivot or are considering a shift soon. I’d love to continue the conversation some more in the comments.

I left you at the point where I was considering the following questions about leaving my 16 year teaching career to carve a new path.

1. How can I simply leave my job? Will I regret it?

2. What about our finances? How will we pay the bills/mortgage if I quit my job?

3. How do I work out what my next career is going to be?

I’m going to begin with question #3 because this is something I had been considering for some time. As you may know if you’ve read my bio, my main career focus is now on interior design but I’d like to share a little with you on where that interest came from.
