I'm also going to be 100% self employed in January having been juggling it with a part time job so I really resonate with this post! Congratulations and good luck 🎉
Your post fizzes with energy Hannah. I love change, it revitalises me and that's the impression I'm getting about you. I feel sure you will embrace this new life with thoughtful, stealthy progress - I can't imagine you hurtling in without a plan - and you will be successful of that I have no doubt.
You put it so well, Wendy. Change does revitalise me too and I think it’s taken me many years to realise this. I’m definitely a planner, sometimes too much but hopefully I will find the right balance! I’ve finally found some more time to get back into your book and I’m loving it! x
I am so excited for you, Hannah! It's lovely to hear how supportive your students are - you are a strong model for them to see that they don't have to work in the same job/industry for their entire lives.
Have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy those lie-ins too 😁
Thanks Sarah! My students’ reactions surprised me and I think you’re right that it’s good for them to see different ways of doing things. Hope your last few days of term go well and thanks also for your email - I will reply later today ☺️
Best of luck in this new phase, Hannah! Love that you treated yourself to a planner. I don't have a Circle, but I do find joy and calm in the pages of my planner. Not that everything always goes to plan, but it's nice to have a landing spot for the mental chaos.
I will most certainly be needing somewhere to offload my mental chaos! Thanks so much for the good wishes and I haven’t forgotten about your guest piece and the follow up podcast, I just haven’t had a chance 🫣
Oh Hannah, please don’t worry about that! You’ve got a full plate of transitions right now. Honestly, take as long as you need. Months, years, whatever! I have some projects of my own that have taken way longer than I anticipated, so I can definitely relate.
I wish you the best for the new chapter you have been preparing consciously ,so I' m sure the transition will feel smooth as it can be! Enjoy!Looking forward to follow you over here and hear about your adventures
I’m so excited for you, Hannah, and I love that you’re bringing us along on your journey with you. Your energy and enthusiasm is powerful, making it all sustainable is key to longevity without burnout x
Well done Hannah on moving on. I don't miss timetables and assignment corrections since I left my job last year. Its good to have some things planned and a level of structure in place for the next couple of months. And be gentle on yourself as you transition into new spaces 😃 👍

Sending so much good luck to you too Shelly! Do you also have that emotional seesaw of excitement and terror?! I think we’ve both got this 🥰
I'm mostly at the excited end at the moment but ask me again after Wednesday which is my last day 😬

Lots of good wishes and enjoy the January break. That must feel extra special after being constrained by timetables for so many years!
Thanks Yasmin, I really feel so institutionalised after all these years so it feels very exciting to be breaking free and following what feels right ✨
Congratulations!
Assi
Thanks so much Assi! 😊

I feel a bit like a child again, which can only be a good sign, right?
Can relate.
