Great indepth review. I have read other recent reviews of Lille and its a city that sounds enticing. You are lucky to live in London and be able to get the Eurostar. Its a bit further to get to living on the west coast of Ireland.
Yes, it’s definitely much trickier to get to from the west coast of Ireland. We are lucky to have the Eurostar from London and it’s definitely a mode of transport I want to make more use of now I have more freedom with my time.
Equally, there are so many places I’d love to visit in Ireland. I’d love to do a west coast summer road trip. That’s on my list! 🇮🇪 ☘️
Lovely city ! A good friend lives nearby so I enjoy visiting there from time to time ! And you definitely have to go see La villa Cavrois ! We went there two years ago and it was amazing ! Fascinating how they recreated all the furniture and decoration !!!

The Kandinsky exhibition was my highlight of the trip. Well worth a visit to Lille just for that! I hope you make it there soon Yasmin ☺️

If you are thinking of travelling to west of Ireland you can fly from London to Cork, Kerry or Shannon airports.

Sounds lovely! We went to Lille in December a few years ago. The Christmas market was fun! I’d love to go back.
I’ve never been at Christmas but have heard several people mention the Christmas market, so perhaps that’s a good plan for the next trip!
